I have thick, pin-straight, dark blonde hair that is all one length. It is 1 1/2 - 2 inches past my chin. It has no style at the moment and I wish it had more curl/wave--it looks so flat. What would be a good style for me?

It definitely depends on the shape of your face. But using layers to soften the edges and add some dimension around your face will help the flat factor. Bangs would also add some drama to your style if you weren't too apprehensive. Work with your hair type - be thankful you have the thickness -- just use layers to let flow freely... both subtle layers or even chunkier, more obvious layers would work.
also - try having your stylist thin your hair in addition to layers... it does wonders for me.

Add layers, and make it shorter. It will make the hairstyle lighter and easier to curl. Then you can scrunch it OR straighten it

it also depends on what shape your face is. look in magazines, etc for styles you like, cut them out and take them in to your hairdresser. Then you can both see what you like and what suits you

I agree with the layers. It will give you more shape and body. I would stick with long layers though if you have thick hair, it will keep it from looking puffy!

I don't know if I would go for more curl. If you are concerned about what is fashionable this season it would be loose layered curls or layered straight hair with side bangs. Eithe of these will bring alot of life to your hair as well as trying a shampoo made to give your hair body as well.
Good Luck

well lets see if you dont want to sut your hair then your best bet would be to play around with flips! i love how hair looks when it is flipped.
you can also try frosting your hair and um try some pin up styles, well sloppy pin up styles just take the hair and twist and pin and leave a bang and maybe a few strands down in the back and that will give you a whole new sleek look

I would say that you could get a loose curl perm. That would give it some body and some curl, and you can do all sorts of styles with it. And, even better, easy maintenance for those lazy days!
