I have thick curly medium length hair, what happen if i just thin it out???

If I was to go to the barber (im a guy) an just get them to thin it out, would it still be really curly and uncontrollable??? and also would it grow funny after thinning it out?? Many Thanks! Peace out.

I DON'T recommend thinning at all. Through the years of cutting, I find that layers %26amp; razor cuts are the best weapon for thinning out the thickness of the hair. I wouldn't suggest you to do so. You can control your hair with Aussie products which I use for long time. All of my clients appreciated how I have taught them how to style theirs.

It will be less uncontrolable, definetely. It will not grow out funny. I highly reccommend it.

Do not let them razor cut or use thinning shears on your curls! That is a one-way ticket to frizzville. You can have them layer it a bit to reduce some of the bulk if that's the problem. Maybe a salon would do that better than a barber. If it is uncontrollable because of the curls, consider what products you are using. There's a lot of good info for curlies at www.naturallycurly.com (including a community board just for men!)
